This startup property and casualty
insurance agency wanted to "do it right" from inception.
Rather than doing the old "ready, fire, aim" approach to
creating a business, the principals decided to have an outside
facilitator guide them through the business planning
"process". By assessing the businesses strength,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT analysis), and then
establishing goals and objectives, the principals were able to
significantly enhance their focus and the ability to maximize
resources. This agency now has about 15 staff developed from the 5
people that stared with it in 1992.
